Caffeination & Sleepies
This Sticker is 1.5" wide.
Ah, Caffeine. Where would society be without you?
Sleeping; probably. Like Millie and Ave generally are.
Here's some cute sleepy and hyper birbs enjoying a cup of caffeine form their preferred choices: Jitters likes Coffee while Thea Likes Tea! Ave and Millie prefer to relax with their favourites.
These three are, naturally, hummingbirds (the most gogoGO! of all the Avians).
The smallest adult is the Bee Hummingbird; weighing 1.95grams (an average sugar cube weighs 4grams!).
Speaking of sugar; hummingbirds can drink about six times their body weight per day with their tongues that are about a third their body length! Drinking this much Nectar (plus more liquid) means that hummingbirds are peeing just as much as drinking!
Most species of hummingbirds are Very Aggressive and Territorial. While we may think they are cutely flitting about; an intense battle may be what we are actually witnessing! Hummingbirds can 'sleep' in a short and tiny hibernation-like sleep to avoid some cold (called Torpor).
Leafy 'Teas' are all made from the same few plant varieties (Camellia sinensis or Camellia sinensis assamica); and differentiation is made between the grad or quality of leaf and how the leaf is processed (fermented, unfermented, partially fermented.)
Like Tea; the difference between different types of coffee brews is roasting and brewing times; between the two main brewed beans (Coffea Arabica or Coffea Canefora "Robusta").
Note: There are several Coffee plantations whose flowers provide nectar that sustain Many hummingbirds.
The Caffeine chemical itself attracts pollinators and is a neurotoxin for other insects; while it is merely a stimulant for humans. Caffeine evolved separately as a trait in Tea and Coffee; but is the same chemical.
Chamomile is a Herbal plant with white petals around a yellow center (like a tiny daisy!). Some people take it to help sleepy time; but it may interreact with estrogen.
Some people also find that Lavender has a soothing and calming effect.
These two also smell and look pretty! (Competition is tough out there for flowers; sometimes they just need to be told they're pretty...)
